I am so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing but am glad he is at peace and free of pain. He will be deeply missed for his humor, wit, intelligence and especially his kind heart. Cindi, Noshi always spoke so lovingly of you and both of his kids. He was very proud of all of you and what you have built together. He will be sorely missed by his very large online family. My heartfelt condolences to all of you.

hey hey nosh…

Just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know how the folks are doing.

ron’s having a little bit of a hard time with all the rockets falling around him but seems to be doing his best to keep up his spirits considering. Dan is on his way to entrepurnial success with the impending opening of his computer store – we’re all rooting for him. Dawn is still slappin’ people silly in IRC and the rest of us are just carrying on as usual.

You take care my friend and get as well as you can and know we are all thinking of you; and that we miss your cheerie personality in the groups.

I can’t believe you are going to such extremes to get out of working in the heat! No shit, enough is enough.

It’s time for you to start healing, you are missed by so many people all over the globe. Me especially I won’t get into how you’ve been lying to me for years telling me that no one likes you, reading these posts tells me otherwise.

The cage is getting terribly boring. We need your wit and way with words to liven things up.

Steven is just lazing around 24/7 since you’re not pushing him.

And now that I finally have you trained to wait for a ‘good night’, you don’t come to IRC.

Noshi, My thoughts are always with you. You’ve always been there for me when I needed it.

Now quit goofing off and get back to work!! Steven needs a push now and then.

I’m sure someone can hack he system to give you access there to the NG or IRC, LOL and there is always a beer in the fridge for ya.

A nosh update

Well I guess no one WILL tell me what Noshi means, so I’ll sit in the dark.

Mike is finally out of Mass General today. He is in a wonderful hospice that’s a bit closer to home. He has a beautiful private room overlooking the gardens. This afternoon some baby ducks were wondering on his back patio until their mother scurried them off. My family also brought over his hummingbird feeder so that maybe he can watch the hummingbirds again as well. He’s got a recliner, and a big flat screen TV, as well as a private patio, and wonderful staff attending to him.

We are not sure right now where this path heads. Mike is still determined to fight. His goal through the hospice program is to give his body time, while turning the focus of his care his pain symptoms, and day to day quality of life. But his treatment of the cancer right now is on hold. He hopes to get strong enough to get back to treatment, but at present, his body is not quite strong enough to tolerate anymore.

We will truly miss the wonderful staff at Mass General on Ellison 16. The “future” Dr. Ricky, Dr. Miller, Karyn, Val, and all the other wonderful and caring people there are truly special in their own ways. We wish you all well, and hope our paths cross again in better times.

Upward and onward, will keep you posted. If anyone would care to visit Mike, please contact me directly so that I can try and coordinate things at a time that is good for Mike.
